Abstract
Cystic ovarian masses may present with pain related to rupture or torsion or they may present as an asymptomatic abdominal mass. The elective management of these masses should be guided by the patient's menarchal status, age, symptoms, and associated conditions as well as cyst size and ultrasound characteristics. Timely evaluation and management is necessary to potentially preserve fertility and adequately treat malignancy.
