Abstract

Minimal access surgery of hypertrophic pyloric stenosis has marked advantages over conventional open pyloromyotomy in terms of postoperative outcomes. This chapter deals with the operation room setup, patient positioning, special instruments and port placement sites for laparoscopic pyloromyotomy. The indication, contraindications, preoperative considerations, technical notes and procedural variations for the have also been listed. High-quality images demonstrate step-by-step the procedure of laparoscopic pyloromyotomy.
