Abstract

Complete Y-chromosome microdeletions (YCMs) are rarely found in men with sperm concentrations of 1–5 million sperm/ml. North American and European guidelines should be reconsidered, and clinicians do not need routine YCM screening if sperm concentrations are >1 million sperm/ml.
