Abstract
Although antithrombiotic agents have been in widespread clinical use for over 40 years, there is still considerable controversy as well as a lack of data regarding optimal dosage and clinical indications. Further investigation into the pharmacology of these drugs and the pathogenesis of the various thrombotic disorders must continue in conjunction with further carefully controlled randomized clinical studies.
