About

Dr. Brant W. Ullery is a board-certified general and vascular surgeon trained in all areas of vascular and endovascular surgery, with special emphasis on complex aortic disease and critical limb ischemia. His primary clinical and academic interest involves the development of complex endovascular aortic interventions, as well as identifying and improving failure mechanisms of aortic and branch vessel reconstructions. 
 
After completion of his undergraduate studies at Northwestern University, Dr. Ullery earned his medical degree with honors in research at Weill Cornell Medical College in New York City. He then completed his general surgery training and chief residency at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, during which time he received several Top Surgical Resident Research awards. Dr. Ullery later completed fellowship training in vascular and endovascular surgery at Stanford University. He joined the clinical staff at Providence Heart and Vascular Institute in Portland in 2015. He currently serves as Medical Director of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery at Providence. In addition, he has since earned a master’s of business administration degree with concentration in healthcare management.    
 
As a clinician and researcher, he is a regular contributor to multiple premier medical and surgical journals. He has served as site Principal Investigator in numerous clinical trials and authored more than 70 book chapters and articles in peer-reviewed journals. He has delivered a myriad of invited national and international presentations and presented his work at more than 50 regional, national, and international conferences and symposia, including the Society for Clinical Vascular Surgery Annual Symposium, Veith Symposium, Society for Vascular Surgery Annual Meeting, International Symposium on Endovascular Therapy, and the Australia and New Zealand Society for Vascular Surgery Annual Meeting. 
 
Dr. Ullery serves on the editorial boards of Case Studies in Surgery, Clinics in Surgery, and Endovascular Today. He is also a reviewer for several journals, including Journal of Vascular Surgery, Journal of Endovascular Therapy, Vascular and Endovascular Surgery, and European Journal of Cardio-Thoracic Surgery. In addition, Dr. Ullery is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and serves in multiple leadership roles within various organizations, including the Society for Vascular Surgery, Western Vascular Society, Vascular and Endovascular Surgery Society, and the Society for Clinical Vascular Surgery.
